Part 1 Today I would like to share my impressions of Mass Effect, a game that hasn't lost a bit of relevancy even in the modern year of 2020. Boasting a richly detailed setting where relationships between the sapient species of the galaxy play off of their biological traits and shared histories, it masterfully immerses the audience into the make-believe world of truly epic proportions. But the real cause for amazement are the multifaceted and lively characters – every member of Shepard's crew is unique and comes with their own expressive demeanor and well-written personality. This contributes greatly towards making the player want to help and empathize with the virtual people they meet, especially since Mass Effect is packed full of interactive dialogues with varied response options that let you be as charitable or as aggressive as you wish. Unlike the somewhat tedious side missions, the main plotline is still fun to play through, even if it's kind of cliché. The game includes four types of weapons: pistols, shotguns, assault and sniper rifles... Oh, and also grenades. I have a habit of totally forgetting about them and only ever launching explosives at the enemy by complete accident. All firearms have infinite ammunition but are plagued by constant (at least in my case) overheating. To be continued in the next post 😊
